Why We Do What We Do.

What is “ordinary” in Japan
is “extraordinary” to the world.

It started with a single cup of green tea in a Southeast Asian market. Green tea — something consumed as a daily habit in Japan — was received with genuine wonder overseas as a special, almost magical experience. In that moment, I was certain: Japan holds immense value that the world has yet to discover.

At the same time, I witnessed firsthand how steep the road is for Japanese SMEs and producers trying to enter overseas markets. Language barriers, unfamiliar legal systems, cultural gaps in business customs — and above all, the deep anxiety of not knowing who to trust.

“What if there were someone who deeply understood local business culture, held a first-class network of professionals, and walked alongside you from the very first step to the very last?”

We decided to become that “someone.” That is the origin of JAPAN Brand Export Support Organization.

Today, our field extends far beyond agricultural and marine product exports. We support business expansion into Malaysia and Sri Lanka, introduce investment real estate, and attract capital to Port City Colombo — the next-generation financial hub. Running through everything is a single conviction: to connect Japan and the world, delivering value in both directions.

Build a track record through dual-engine support — business expansion and agricultural/marine exports — while constructing a local partner network. Establish our brand as “Japan’s trusted representative overseas.”

Phase 2Proof of Value

Scale up financial attraction to Port City Colombo Special Economic Zone

Through supporting the establishment of offshore investment funds and FX companies, demonstrate Sri Lanka’s potential as the “Post-Dubai” destination to the Japanese market. Combined with investment real estate introductions, provide a new dimension of asset management options.

Phase 3Expansion

Expand across Asia and contribute to Japan’s ¥5 trillion export target

Roll out the model cultivated in Malaysia and Sri Lanka to other ASEAN and South Asian nations. Contribute from the private sector to Japan’s government goal of ¥5 trillion in agricultural and marine product exports by 2030.
